Eco-minded adventurers combine their passion for exploration with a mindful approach to how their actions and lifestyles influence our natural world.
It’s easy for people who have no personal connection with the planet to have little interest in protecting it. Many of us who grew up in concrete jungles and urban environments are far removed from the Earth and its natural environments.
We don’t often get to experience the direct impact our lifestyles are having on the planet. Trash is removed from our houses where its out of sight, out of mind and we consume end products without regard for the resources being depleted in order to create them.
Without properly functioning ecosystems there will be nothing left to clean out water, purify our air, and provide us with healthy, nutritious food. The decision is ours to make: when we take care of our Earth, our Earth will take care of us.
Eco-minded adventurers understand that humans are just as much a part of our ecosystems as any other species. Therefore, we take it upon ourselves to not only protect the wild places we love to explore, but the “domesticated” environments we’ve come to inhabit.
Anyone can become an eco-minded adventurer. Here’s how to start:
Step 1: Live Untamed
An Untamed Lifestyle means to live by your own accord and to make your own rules – so long as that includes doing right by the planet and everything that lives on it. It means embracing your wild side, but also making a commitment to leave this world a little better than you found it.
So let loose, do what you love, and don’t be afraid to change the world. We have enough of everyone else, what we really needs is a little more YOU.
Step 2: Stay Connected
Staying connected via email and Instagram makes sure you’re never short of inspiration and ideas that keep you stoked about getting outdoors and protecting our environment.

Step 3: Get Outside
I get it, it can be hard to care about something you’ve never experienced first hand. That’s why I encourage everyone to get outdoors and experience the natural beauty of our world. Wether its a day at the beach or a couple weeks out on the trail, start planning your next adventure and see what this world has to offer!
Once you do, you’ll develop a concrete understanding of why these beautiful places need to be protected and why so many people are already committed to living green and sustainably.

Step 4: Live Eco-Minded
Each of us holds within us the power to make the world a greener place.
The first step towards creating a healthy and sustainable planet begins with each of us understanding on a very fundamental level that all of our actions have an impact, for better or worse. Each of us has to make a personal decision that we will prioritize green-living and sustainability over mindless waste and consumption. If we don’t, then we will continue down a path towards a not so beautiful and inhabitable planet.

Mindfulness is the process of bringing one’s attention to the experiences occurring in the present moment.
One of the greatest benefits of adventuring outdoors is that it presents us with the opportunity to live more mindfully and learn from our experiences. Every time I venture into the outdoors, I come away from it having grown in one way or another.

Step 6: Spread the word
To create large-scale change, it must first start within each of us. We all have to make a personal decision to live more mindful about our environmental impact.
Bring a little more adventure into your friends’ lives and share this green-living greatness with the world. Spreading the word helps to build a larger community of eco-minded adventurers. The more of us there are, the bigger impact we will have.
